Build a Teaching Career You Own with Zera Music Company
Bring your passion for teaching. We equip you with everything else.
Most companies offer a side-gig. We've built a real path — from finding your footing, to mastering your craft, to designing a thriving studio with pay that grows as you do. Our instructors follow a clear progression (we'll walk you through it), and the ones who commit build something lasting here.
Already teaching? Bring your studio, we'll carry the weight.
If you've been running your own lessons, you know the truth: the teaching is the joy, and everything else is the grind. Chasing payments. Scheduling and rescheduling. No-shows. Parent communication. Tracking progress. Finding new students when one leaves. It's a second full-time job you never signed up for.
Hand it to us. Bring the students you're already teaching to Zera, and we take the backend off your plate — billing, scheduling, payment collection, parent logistics, lesson resources, and a proven system that keeps families enrolled longer. You keep doing what you love; we handle the rest. And we'll pay you a $100 bonus for every current student you bring with you.
You built the relationships. We'll help you keep them thriving without the burnout.
What makes us different: our best instructors don't chase students — families refer them. We'll show you how that works, and how our growth ladder rewards you for building it. (We'll share the specifics — including exactly how your pay grows — when we talk.)
Freedom and support — you don't have to choose.
As a contractor, you keep the flexibility to run your studio your way. But you don't go it alone: we make the annoying parts painless — organized income records for tax time, hassle-free monthly direct deposit, and systems that handle the admin most solo teachers dread. The independence of working for yourself, with a real company behind you.
The role
Flexible, in-home music teaching. You travel to students based on your availability and how far you're willing to go (ideally 10–20 miles). We're seeking instructors with a solid grasp of music theory who bring professionalism, transparency, strong communication, a desire to keep growing, and a real heart for student growth.
Most of our instructors have waitlists of students.
Biggest need: piano and guitar (drum, vocal, and strings too).
