Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks and support the kitchen staff during busy service times.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area by regularly cleaning dishwashing stations, floors, and storage areas.
- Support catering and banquet setups by providing clean dishware and assisting with event-related cleaning needs.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to uphold health and safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of clean items for service.
- Help with general cleaning duties around the kitchen and dining areas to promote a hygienic environment.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
- Basic understanding of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy loads safely.
- Strong attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and organization.
- Experience with bussing tables or supporting catering events is a plus.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting busy service environments.
