Perform a variety of routine and complex work in driving or helping the driver and coordinating pick up and removal of waste/rubbish and recycling for residential and commercial accounts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- May plan route to ensure most economical use of time and equipment.
- Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
- Maintain and keep all vehicles clean.
- Report all problems immediately to Supervisor/Manager/ or Safety manager
- Confirm with and abide by all regulations, policies work procedures and instructions.
- Confirm to all safety rules and use all the appropriate safety equipment Operate any equipment authorized to complete your job. Pre-trip inspections leaving the yard and then a post-trip inspection is completed after you return at the end of your shift.
- All paperwork must be completed/signed and handed into the daily.
- Must be able to take/pass random DOT drug test.
- Must maintain a clean and valid driver’s license
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Requirements
Qualifications:
- Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving
- Ability to safely drive various vehicles and equipment is a plus
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors and the general public.
- Ability to work independently.
- Valid CDL License. (2 years prefered)
- Must be reliable, punctual, and hard-working individual.
- Experience in the sanitation services or waste company is a plus
