Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The RN - ICU will provide advanced nursing care to critically ill patients, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through expert assessment, intervention, and coordination. This role demands a proactive approach to patient care, utilizing extensive clinical knowledge and technical skills to support patients with complex medical needs.
Position: RN ICU
Shift: Night 3×12-Hour (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Contract Duration: 13 weeks (09/14/2026 – 12/13/2026)

Travel Pay: $2,264/week for 36 hours.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients within the ICU setting, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and managing ventilators.
- Perform detailed patient assessments, interpret diagnostic tests, and develop individualized care plans aligned with physician directives.
- Utilize advanced skills such as airway management, IV infusion, catheterization, suturing, and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and case managers to coordinate effective treatment strategies.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Respond swiftly to emergency situations using critical care response procedures and trauma medicine protocols.
- Educate patients and their families about ongoing care needs, medication administration, pain management options, and discharge planning.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives by adhering to NCQA standards and infection control practices.
Requirements
- Valid RN license with current registration in the applicable state or jurisdiction.
- Minimum of two years of ICU experience in a Level I or Level II trauma center or equivalent critical care environment.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner; experience with ICD-10 coding is preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in advanced procedures including ventilator management, dialysis care, PICU procedures, and infectious disease management.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology relevant to critical care.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics (PICU), geriatrics (memory care), and individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) are required.
