Starside Security & Investigation, Inc. Detention Services Division (DSD) is looking for California Licensed Armed Detention Officers for Starside’s ICE ERO Contracts in San Diego & Imperial Counties. Our Detention Officers (DO’S) work at various locations in San Diego and Imperial Counties. Starside. Starside’s Detention Officers transport inmates from various facilities protecting and securing both the public and the Detainee by preventing escape. Starside also protects the public and the inmate from harm, by providing constant visual observation.
Ideal Candidate:
- Clean Background / Clear Credit / DMV (No Convictions (At all or pattern of arrests)
- Pass a Pre-employment Physical
- California Guard Card
- California Exposed Firearms Permit, (9mm primary service weapon)
- Previous Government Service a plus
- Willing to work as needed most positions are over 40 hours per week
- Minimum 3 Years Detention experience or graduation from a Police Academy or Detention Academy
- Special Operations / Military a plus (verified by DD214)
- All Starside employees must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Clearance
Compensation is $38.49 per hour, plus $ 5.09 per hour into a retirement or Healthcare. Detention Officers must be approved by the government and pass their background. Starside offers 80 Hours vacation and 56 hours of sick time after 1 year of employment.
