REPORTS TO: Director of Golf Course & Property and Assistant Superintendent(s)
POSITION SUMMARY: Performs all tasks related to the maintenance and care of the golf course and surrounding property as directed by the management team.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Participates in a wide range of daily golf course maintenance activities, including course preparation, mowing, equipment operation, hand-watering, renovations projects, etc.
- Demonstrates a high level of safety awareness, compliance, and accountability across all operations
- Maintains a neat work area and properly cleans and cares for all equipment
- Reports all equipment and/or safety issues to supervisor(s)
- Understands and applies the relationship between golf course maintenance practices and overall golf course playability
- Communicates professionally with staff, members, and guests while representing Crystal Downs
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Golf course maintenance experience or similar setting (not required)
- Positive, team-oriented mindset with a willingness to lead by example and assist in all areas of the operation
- A desire to continuously enhance skills, and a commitment to professional growth
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining exceptional course conditions
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform the physical demands associated with golf course maintenance
- Reliable transportation and possession of a valid driver’s license
