Galion Meadows Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a dependable and compassionate Dietary Cook to join our team. In this role, you will assist with daily food service operations while ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming dining environment for our residents. This position is essential in supporting quality care and enhancing the overall resident experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and meal service in accordance with established policies
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and dining areas
- Complete assigned cleaning duties and daily tasks as directed
- Properly dispose of waste following sanitation guidelines
- Report any unsafe or hazardous conditions to a supervisor
- Interact respectfully with residents, staff, and visitors
- Protect resident privacy and maintain confidentiality at all times
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Must be able to work well with residents, families, staff, and the public
- Ability to safely handle food, supplies, and cleaning materials
