Morrisville Middle/Senior High School seeks a dedicated and dynamic Long-Term Substitute Teacher to teach high school French language and cultural courses. The successful candidate will follow the established curriculum, maintain high expectations for student learning, and foster a positive, engaging learning environment. This position requires a strong command of the French language and the ability to connect with adolescents in meaningful ways that support language acquisition and cultural appreciation.
Responsibilities:

Deliver daily instruction in French I French II, French Cuisine and French Caribbean.

Implement lesson plans and develop engaging, standards-aligned instruction.

Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.

Create a classroom atmosphere conducive to active learning, respectful communication, and cultural exploration.

Provide timely feedback to students and communicate with parents/guardians as appropriate.

Collaborate with department colleagues and administrators to support student success.

Fulfill duties associated with the daily operation of the school, including supervision and faculty/department meetings as required.

Bachelor’s degree in French, Education, or related field.

Prior teaching experience at the secondary level, particularly in French language instruction, preferred.

Strong proficiency in spoken and written French.
