FIELD PUMP MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Field Pump Maintenance Technician to perform inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial, commercial, and municipal pumping systems. This role is field‑based and requires strong mechanical aptitude, professionalism, and the ability to work independently at customer sites.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on centrifugal, turbine, submersible and booster pumps.
Conduct field diagnostics, including vibration checks, seal inspections and performance assessments.
Disassemble, inspect, and rebuild pumps, motors and rotating equipment.
Install and align pumps using dial or laser alignment tools.
Troubleshoot electrical components, including motors, VFDs and control panels (basic to intermediate level).
Document service findings, parts used and repair recommendations.
Maintain safe work practices and comply with all company and customer safety requirements.
Provide professional customer communication while on job sites.
Required Qualifications
2–5+ years of experience in pump maintenance, pump repair or rotating equipment service.
Strong mechanical skills with hands‑on experience in pump teardown and rebuilds.
Ability to read and interpret pump curves, schematics and service manuals.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in field conditions (heat, confined spaces, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with vertical turbine pumps, submersible pumps or municipal water systems.
Knowledge of VFDs, motor controls and electrical troubleshooting.
OSHA 10, MSHA or other safety certifications.
Welding or fabrication experience is a plus.
