Position Title: Business Development Coordinator (BDC)
Position Summary:
The BDC is responsible for generating qualified sales opportunities for the print department by proactively contacting businesses and organizations to schedule appointments for the Print Sales Representative or Print Specialist. This role focuses on building relationships, identifying customer print needs, and maintaining a consistent pipeline of prospective clients to drive print sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Make outbound calls to businesses, organizations, and prospective customers to introduce the company's print products and services.
- Identify customer needs related to printing, marketing, signage, promotional products, and business services.
- Schedule appointments and meetings for the print sales team with qualified prospects.
- Follow up with leads generated through marketing campaigns, referrals, networking events, and walk-in inquiries.
- Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions, appointments, and sales opportunities in the CRM system.
- Confirm appointments and provide necessary information to both customers and sales representatives.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospects for ongoing business development.
- Work closely with the print sales team to understand target markets, promotions, and sales goals.
- Meet or exceed weekly and monthly appointment-setting goals and activity metrics.
- Assist with customer outreach initiatives, email campaigns, and promotional efforts.
- Provide exceptional customer service and represent the company professionally in all interactions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
- Previous experience in appointment setting, inside sales, telemarketing, customer service, or business development preferred.
- Experience in the printing, marketing, or business services industry is a plus.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable making outbound calls and engaging new prospects.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency with CRM software, Microsoft Office, and email communication.
- Ability to handle rejection professionally and maintain a positive attitude.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and achieve goals.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of commercial printing products and services.
- Understanding of business-to-business (B2B) sales processes.
- Ability to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling print solutions.
- Strong listening and problem-solving skills.
Performance Metrics:
- Number of outbound calls completed.
- Number of appointments scheduled.
- Appointment show rate.
- Conversion rate of appointments to quotes and sales.
- Revenue generated from scheduled appointments.
- Customer satisfaction and follow-up effectiveness.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods while making calls and working on a computer.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail and business environment.
Pay: $42,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
