Unity Academy for Boys is seeking a Christ-centered, passionate, and biblically grounded Bible/Religion Teacher to join our faculty. This individual will help equip young men with a biblical worldview and spiritual maturity, while modeling integrity, leadership, and a deep love for Christ. CERTIFICATION IS NOT REQUIRED, WE PROVIDE TRAINING AND SUPPORT. This paid position is perfect for educators eager to make a meaningful impact while advancing their teaching career in a vibrant academic setting. Candidates will engage with diverse scholar populations, implement innovative curricula, and support students’ academic and personal growth.
Duties
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards (BJU Press).
- Create an engaging classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods, including tests, projects, and observations.
- Provide individualized support to students to help them achieve their academic goals.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student performance and classroom activities.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational trends.
- Collaborate with other educators to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in RELIGION or THEOLOGY is required.
- Previous teaching experience is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm for teaching is essential.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to create a positive classroom culture that fosters respect and inclusivity.
- Familiarity with technology tools for education is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Bible/Religion classes to middle and high school boys (grades 5–12)
- Develop and deliver biblically sound lessons using approved curriculum
- Lead students in class discussions, Scripture memorization, prayer, and biblical application
- Collaborate with the administration to align spiritual and academic goals
- Encourage spiritual growth and moral development among students
- Serve as a role model of Christian conduct, speech, and lifestyle
- Integrate the school’s values of brotherhood, integrity, and knowledge into classroom culture
- Participate in chapels, devotions, and occasional ministry/service projects
