Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced AV Installation Technician to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role responsible for overseeing commercial audiovisual installations from start to finish. The ideal candidate has extensive experience leading field crews, installing and integrating complex AV systems, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise AV installation teams on commercial and enterprise projects.
- Coordinate daily field activities, manpower, and installation schedules.
- Review project drawings, scopes of work, and installation requirements before and during project execution.
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and integrate commercial AV systems including:
- Displays
- Cameras
- Speakers
- Microphones
- DSPs
- Control systems
- Oversee rack builds, structured cabling, equipment mounting, and system integration.
- Perform quality control inspections to ensure installations meet company and client standards.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, General Contractors, clients, and other trades.
- Manage field documentation, punch lists, and project progress updates.
- Support system commissioning, testing, validation, and client handoff.
- Maintain compliance with all jobsite safety policies and OSHA requirements.
- Mentor, train, and develop junior technicians.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Commercial AV, Low Voltage, Systems Integration, or a related industry.
- Proven experience leading AV installation crews.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Structured cabling
- Rack builds
- Equipment mounting
- AV infrastructure
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, AV schematics, and floor plans.
- Experience troubleshooting complex AV systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field.

- CTS (Certified Technology Specialist)
- OSHA 30
- Dante Level 2 or Level 3

- Manufacturer technical certifications
Leadership Qualifications
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Experience leading teams of 3–10+ technicians.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring abilities.
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience coordinating directly with clients, Project Managers, Engineers, and General Contractors.
- Ownership of project quality, safety, and schedule adherence.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work on ladders, lifts, and active construction sites.
- Willingness to travel throughout the Bay Area as project needs require.
Language Requirements
- English required.
