Job Summary
African Women for Change Network (AFNet) is seeking a motivated and community-focused Faith-Based & Partnership Coordinator to support our foster family recruitment initiative in Franklin County, Ohio.
The Coordinator will build and maintain relationships with churches, faith-based organizations, community groups, and other local partners to identify and recruit individuals and families interested in becoming foster parents. The Coordinator will organize outreach activities and informational meetings, follow up with prospective foster parents, and support interested families in moving toward the appropriate next steps in the foster-parent process.
A key requirement of this position is to meet a monthly recruitment goal of at least three (3) qualified prospective foster families who demonstrate genuine interest in moving forward with the foster-parent process.
Duties
- Recruit individuals and families interested in becoming foster parents.
- Meet a minimum recruitment goal of three (3) qualified prospective foster families each month.
- Build and maintain relationships with churches, pastors, faith leaders, faith-based organizations, and community partners.
- Identify new churches and community organizations for partnership and foster-care recruitment opportunities.
- Organize and coordinate foster-care recruitment meetings, information sessions, presentations, and community outreach activities.
- Present information about foster parenting at churches, community gatherings, and other appropriate events.
- Follow up consistently with individuals and families who express interest in foster parenting.
- Help prospective foster families understand and move toward the appropriate inquiry, referral, and next-step process.
- Maintain regular communication with faith and community partners.
- Track prospective families, referrals, outreach activities, meetings, and follow-up efforts.
- Maintain accurate documentation and submit required activity and recruitment reports.
- Attend program meetings and provide updates on recruitment progress, partnerships, challenges, and follow-up activities.
- Work closely with AFNet leadership and program staff to achieve monthly and overall program recruitment goals.
Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience in community outreach, recruitment, partnership development, faith-based engagement, social services, or a related area is preferred.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable engaging churches, faith leaders, community organizations, and prospective foster families.
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
- Ability to organize meetings, outreach activities, and community presentations.
- Ability to consistently follow up with prospective foster families and community partners.
- Goal-oriented and able to meet a minimum monthly recruitment target of three (3) qualified prospective foster families.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and recordkeeping skills.
- Ability to work effectively with culturally diverse communities.
- Reliable, professional, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Familiarity with Franklin County communities and faith-based organizations is a plus.

Pay: $23.07 per hour
Expected hours: 5.0 per week
