The Management Analyst 1 is responsible for preparing, maintaining, and reconciling tax accounts for centrally assessed properties and net proceeds of minerals. Duties include managing billing data, allocating values to counties, producing assessment notices, creating tax rolls, reconciling payments, imposing interest and penalties, distributing tax revenues, and maintaining accounts receivable records. The role also prepares financial and operational reports, supports Tax Commission work papers and departmental publications, assists with budget development, and evaluates process improvements or legislative changes. Strong accounting knowledge, advanced proficiency in Excel, and a high level of accuracy in data entry and proofreading are required.
Management Analysts conduct studies, research, and examination of management and administrative areas such as agency operations, forms, policies and procedures, workflow, legislative analysis, management research, and statistical and informational analysis.
