Shift Length: 10-Hour Shifts (Flexible start time)

About the Case
Southern Healthcare Services is seeking compassionate and dependable Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide one-on-one skilled nursing care for a pediatric client in the home setting in Irwinton, GA. We are currently looking to hire a nurse to provide approximately 30 hours per week of consistent daytime coverage for this long-term pediatric case.
The client is a female pediatric patient born on 05/22/2015 with complex medical needs including liver disease, sickle cell disease, pyrosis, and aneurysms requiring close monitoring and skilled nursing support in the home environment.
The client requires skilled interventions including G-tube feeds, oxygen monitoring, seizure monitoring, and medication administration. We are looking for nurses who value consistency, family-centered care, and building meaningful relationships with medically fragile children and their families.
Diagnoses
Liver disease (ongoing medical management and potential complications)
Pyrosis (can impact feeding tolerance and discomfort)
Sickle cell disease (risk for pain crises, hypoxia, and hospitalizations)
Aneurysms requiring close neurological monitoring
Skilled Nursing Responsibilities
Provide skilled pediatric nursing care in the home setting
G-tube care and feedings
Oxygen monitoring and respiratory observation
Seizure monitoring and safety management
Medication administration and monitoring
Ongoing assessment and monitoring of patient condition
Monitor for signs of pain crises, respiratory distress, or neurological changes
Assist with mobility support and positioning as needed
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Collaborate with caregivers and healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
Active Georgia RN License
Current CPR Certification
Pediatric home health experience preferred
G-tube experience preferred
Strong assessment and communication skills
Reliable transportation
Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in the home setting
