American Traveler is seeking a travel MRI Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification for a 13-week outpatient assignment requiring proficiency in general, cardiac, and specialty MRI exams on Siemens equipment.

Outpatient clinic setting within an MRI department

Specialty MRI exams performed include general MRI, implants, elastography, defecography, breast, and cardiac MRI
-
Primary schedule is 5x8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday (12:30 PM–9:00 PM); 4x10 or 3x12 shift configurations may also be considered

Saturday shifts (8:00 AM–4:00 PM) are required on a rotating basis; total weekly hours remain at 40 regardless of Saturday work

No on-call requirement

May float between two outpatient clinic locations

Uses Siemens MRI equipment; Sectra PACS experience is preferred

Charting in Epic; Epic experience is preferred

No holidays required

Minimum of 2 years of MRI Technologist experience

Current BLS (AHA) required

ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required

State license required if applicable

Radiation badge required and must be provided by the candidate's agency prior to assignment

Proficiency in general MRI exams, implants, elastography, defecography, breast MRI, and cardiac MRI

Experience with Siemens MRI equipment required

SSN and Driver's License required for consideration

2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Perform high-quality MRI examinations in accordance with established protocols across a variety of patient populations for physician interpretation

First-time travelers will be considered for this position

Candidates who have previously worked as permanent staff or PRN at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler

Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized, though local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis

All requested time off must be disclosed at the time of consideration; approval is subject to the manager's and unit's needs

Pre-start online modules are required to be completed before the assignment begins

Scrub colors are teal top and black pants

Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
