Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Lead Teacher to inspire and guide young learners in our vibrant early childhood education environment. In this role, you will lead classroom activities, develop engaging lesson plans, and support children’s developmental milestones. Your passion for teaching and expertise in special education will help create a positive, inclusive atmosphere where every child can thrive.
Duties
- Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and individual needs
- Collaborate with families to support children’s developmental goals through regular communication and updates
- Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques
- Support children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or developmental delays, through tailored instructional approaches such as speech therapy or behavioral therapy techniques
- Maintain accurate documentation of each child's progress, including Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and assessments
- Foster a collaborative team environment by mentoring assistant teachers and supporting ongoing professional development
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with young children in early childhood education settings or special education environments
- Strong knowledge of childhood development, literacy education, math fundamentals, and curriculum development
- Experience with classroom management, lesson planning, and behavior management strategies
- Familiarity with IEPs, speech therapy techniques, behavioral health practices, and standardized testing procedures
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, and team members
- Certification or training in early intervention, behavioral therapy, or deaf education is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to mentor colleagues and foster an inclusive classroom environment focused on growth and learning
