Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable General Carpenter / Contractor to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is experienced in residential and/or commercial construction, detail-oriented, and able to complete a variety of carpentry and general contracting tasks independently or as part of a team.
This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, works efficiently, and maintains professionalism when interacting with clients.
Duties
- Perform general carpentry work including framing, drywall installation, trim work, and finishing
- Install doors, windows, cabinets, shelving, and other fixtures
- Complete remodeling and renovation projects for residential and commercial properties
- Repair and maintain structures, flooring, decks, fences, and interior finishes
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project plans
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials accurately
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes and safety regulations
- Maintain clean and organized job sites
- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and project managers
- Troubleshoot issues on-site and provide practical solutions
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of carpentry or general contracting experience
- Experience in home renovations, repairs, and remodeling projects preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong understanding of construction techniques and materials
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Reliable transportation required
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to use common construction and carpentry tools safely
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Preferred Skills
- Painting and drywall finishing
- Flooring installation (tile, hardwood, vinyl, laminate)
- Plumbing and electrical experience is a plus
- Experience with kitchen and bathroom remodeling
- General handyman experience
