Yates Automotive is a family-owned dealership group proudly serving the Arizona West Valley for over 40 years. We are looking for an experienced, driven, and team-focused Automotive Desk Manager to help lead our sales operations and support our continued growth.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who can coach sales professionals, structure competitive deals, maintain profitability, and ensure every customer receives a transparent and professional experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily sales desk operations for new and pre-owned vehicles
- Structure deals, evaluate trades, and present financing and payment options
- Support sales professionals throughout the customer experience
- Review pricing, incentives, rebates, and inventory availability
- Ensure deals are accurate, compliant, and properly documented
- Work closely with the finance department to maximize approvals and efficiency
- Monitor leads, appointments, follow-up activity, and closing performance
- Coach, train, and motivate the sales team
- Help resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently
- Maintain a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment
- Assist with inventory management, merchandising, and aging strategies
- Meet dealership sales, gross profit, and customer satisfaction goals
Qualifications
- Previous automotive sales management or desk management experience required
- Strong deal-structuring and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of automotive financing, lender programs, and dealership operations
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to coach and develop sales professionals
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Experience with dealership CRM and DMS platforms preferred
