Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home-Based Nurse to care for an ALS patient in the State College area. This position is ideal for experienced LPN or RNs eager to make a meaningful difference through flexible, remote work.
Duties
- Administer medicines in a timely manner
- Perform body care for a bed bound patient as needed
- Manage the patients catheter (training provided)
- Manage the patient's ventilator, suction and cough assist (training provided)
- Be kind and patient with a bed bound ALS patient with little ability to move
Experience:
- LPN or RN, preferably with home based care experience
- Willing to work nights (19:00 - 7:00 or 23:00 - 7:00) and some day shifts
- Comfortable with a friendly dog
- Willing to learn
- Good communicator
Requirements
- Excellent references as a compassionate caregiver
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient service and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Ability to work independently from home while maintaining high standards of patient care and safety standards
Pay: $35.00 - $55.00 per hour
