Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining a wide range of security systems, including alarm systems, CCTV surveillance, access control, and low-voltage electrical wiring. Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot electrical security systems such as alarms, CCTV cameras, sensors, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and access control devices.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate system setup.
- Perform low-voltage electrical wiring and cabling for security systems in various building types.
- Conduct system testing, calibration, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance of all installed equipment.
- Provide on-site technical support for system design adjustments and repairs using hand tools, power tools, and specialized testing equipment.
- Assist customers with system operation instructions and address service issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain detailed documentation of installations, repairs, and service reports while adhering to safety standards and protocols.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with experience in electrical wiring, schematics interpretation, and low-voltage electrical systems.
- Proven field service experience with a focus on security system installation and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in computer hardware setup, network cabling, and configuring remote access software for surveillance systems.
- Knowledge of alarm & access control systems including door security system integration and fire alarm connections.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings such as schematics and blueprints related to electrical security installations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently using hand tools and power tools.
- Customer service-oriented mindset with effective communication skills to support clients during installation or repair processes.
