Quality Assurance Inspector
- Inspect incoming materials (wire, connectors, hardware, labels, components) to verify correct part numbers, quantity, condition, and certifications.
- Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections to ensure assemblies meet drawings, work instructions, and customer specifications.
- Check workmanship standards including wire stripping, crimping, soldering, labeling, routing, shielding, molding, and overall appearance.
- Conduct or verify electrical testing such as continuity, hipot, insulation resistance, and pin-to-pin checks.
- Use measuring and test equipment including calipers, multimeters, microscopes, and pull testers as required.
- Complete quality records including inspection reports, test results, nonconformance reports, and traceability documentation.
- Identify defective or nonconforming product, segregate affected material, and communicate issues to production or management.
- Support compliance with IPC/WHMA-A-620, ISO 9001 / AS9100, customer requirements, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Perform other quality-related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the company.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience with reliability reporting.
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).
ITAR REQUIREMENTS:
To comply with U.S. Government regulations on space technology exports, applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents of the U.S., individuals protected under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the necessary authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
