About the Opportunity
As an Information Security Engineer III, you will play a critical role in ensuring cloud environments remain secure, resilient, automated, and compliant throughout the system lifecycle in a remote and on-site work environment. In this role, you will integrate security into every stage of cloud deployment and operations, helping protect mission-critical systems, applications, and data within complex AWS environments.
Your work will directly support mission success by strengthening cybersecurity posture, reducing operational risk, and ensuring cloud services remain reliable, scalable, and aligned with federal security and compliance requirements.
What You Will Do in This Role

Engineer and maintain secure AWS cloud environments supporting mission-critical systems

Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using CloudFormation and automation tools

Configure and manage AWS security controls including IAM, VPCs, KMS, encryption, and network security services

Support secure cloud services such as API Gateway, Lambda, CloudFront, and containerized workloads

Perform vulnerability management and risk remediation using tools like Splunk, Nessus, and Tenable

Monitor and respond to security events using enterprise security and firewall tools (e.g., Palo Alto, Imperva, Fortinet)

Ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity requirements and support continuous security monitoring

Collaborate with engineering and security teams to deploy and operationalize secure cloud solutions
What You Will Bring
-
Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or related field

5+ years of experience in AWS cloud-native and cloud security environments
-
Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (IAM, VPC, KMS, encryption, API Gateway, Lambda, CloudFront, etc.)

Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and secure cloud automation

Experience with security and monitoring tools such as Splunk, Nessus, and Tenable

Understanding of cloud security principles including encryption, IAM, segmentation, and application security

Experience supporting compliance and risk-based AWS environments

Must hold at least one of the following certifications: CISA, CRISC, CISM, CGEIT, CISSP, or CAP.
