We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host/Hostess to join our vibrant hospitality team! In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a positive and memorable experience from the moment they arrive. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly with a friendly and professional demeanor, ensuring they feel valued and comfortable.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Maintain an organized waiting list and communicate wait times clearly to guests via phone etiquette or in person.
- Assist with managing guest flow during busy periods, ensuring timely seating and smooth transitions.
- Provide accurate information about menu items, restaurant policies, and special events to guests.
- Support team members by handling guest inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and maintaining excellent guest relations.
- Uphold food safety standards and cleanliness in the host/hostess station and waiting areas at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous host/hostess experience or food service background preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are essential.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in person and over the phone.
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and guest flow efficiently.
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and hospitality best practices.
- Experience working in hotel or restaurant environments is advantageous.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a friendly demeanor under pressure.
