The EnVue, Autograph Collection is seeking a dynamic, relationship-driven Director of Catering Sales to lead catering and social event sales for one of Northern New Jersey's premier luxury lifestyle hotels.
Located on the Hudson River with breathtaking Manhattan skyline views, EnVue hosts weddings, galas, corporate meetings, social celebrations, and high-profile events. We're looking for a proven hospitality sales professional who knows how to build relationships, uncover opportunities, and consistently exceed revenue goals.
If you don't have hotel catering sales experience, this is not the role for you.
What You'll Do
- Drive catering and event revenue through proactive sales efforts
- Develop new business while growing existing client relationships
- Solicit corporate, social, wedding, nonprofit, and association business
- Conduct site inspections and client presentations
- Prepare proposals, contracts, and banquet event orders
- Partner with Event Management, Culinary, Banquets, Revenue Management, and Operations to ensure flawless execution
- Negotiate contracts while maximizing profitability
- Achieve monthly and annual catering revenue goals
- Represent the hotel at networking events, industry functions, and trade shows
- Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline management
- Deliver an exceptional client experience from inquiry through event completion
What We're Looking ForHotel Catering Sales experience is REQUIRED.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Multiple years of catering sales experience within a hotel environment
- Proven history of achieving or exceeding catering revenue goals
- Experience selling weddings, corporate events, meetings, and social functions
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- Outstanding communication and presentation abilities
- Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously while delivering exceptional customer service
- Experience working with Delphi, CI/TY, or comparable hotel sales systems preferred
Highly Preferred
- Knowledge of the NYC corporate and social catering market
- Established relationships throughout Northern New Jersey and New York City
- Marriott brand experience
- Experience with luxury, lifestyle, or upscale full-service hotels
