Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Montessori Assistant Teacher! In this dynamic role, you will support the lead Montessori guide in creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young learners. Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing Montessori lessons that support childhood development
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and guiding children through daily routines and activities.
- Provide individualized attention to children, including preschoolers and kindergarteners, ensuring their emotional and educational needs are met.
- Help prepare classroom materials and learning environments that stimulate curiosity and facilitate hands-on learning experiences.
- Foster effective communication with children to enhance language skills and social interactions.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to safety standards and promotes independent exploration.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with young children in an AMI Montessori setting, Montessori school, or nature school settings is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of Montessori method and curriculum development is a plus.
- Must be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid & VA Licensing Background Checks prior to start, High School Diploma/GED (min) required
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and team members.
- Outdoor, dance, movement, music, or/and art skills/talents appreciated

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25.0 – 45.0 per week
