The assembler role includes, but is not limited to, set up, assembly, inspection and final packaging of a variety of components related to the agriculture industry. You should be able to read and understand standard work instructions, blue prints, inspection plans, and other manufacturing aids.
You will be detail oriented, able to learn and able to use new processes and systems easily. You work well in a fast-paced, customer- focused environment; enjoy working as a team and contributing to a growing company.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up and prepare automatic assembly equipment to produce parts to customer specification
- Utilize hand tools, including air tools, torque wrenches, and various wrench styles to assemble items to customer specification
- Ensure that machines are producing quality products by managing periodic checks on output according to inspection plans
- Clean up machine parts and work stations after finished production orders while complying with 5S audits
- Achieve production goals set out by production planning and leadership
- Perform other tasks as deemed necessary by supervisor and management
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year assembly experience in a production setting
- Solid understanding of standard work and documentation procedures in manufacturing
- Ability to read, understand and apply production blue prints, assembly instructions, and quality plans
- Ability to inspect work according to defined instructions utilizing basic inspection gauges such as tape measures, calipers, and torque wrenches, etc.
- Demonstrate reliable work and attendance history
- Ability to work in a team environment and in multiple roles based on changing work schedules
- Manual lifting up to 40 pounds repetitively and safely handle sharp objects
- Positive attitude
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to take direction
- Demonstrated experience in manufacturing production floor environment and understanding of production floor safety practices and work roles
- High School Diploma or GED required
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
