Position Summary
The Server is responsible for delivering an exceptional dining experience through attentive service, expert menu knowledge, and genuine hospitality. As a representative of Dear Dad's, Servers guide guests through each stage of their meal with professionalism, confidence, and attention to detail while creating memorable experiences that encourage guests to return.
This role requires a passion for hospitality, strong food and beverage knowledge, and the ability to anticipate guest needs in a fast-paced, upscale dining environment.

Essential Responsibilities
Guest Experience
- Provide attentive, personalized service throughout every stage of the dining experience.
- Guide guests through the menu with confidence, offering thoughtful recommendations and answering questions with accuracy.
- Build genuine relationships with guests through engaging and professional interactions.
- Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests.
- Resolve guest concerns professionally and involve leadership when appropriate.
Food & Beverage Service
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, and daily features.
- Recommend wine, cocktails, spirits, and food pairings that enhance the dining experience.
- Accurately enter food and beverage orders using the POS system.
- Serve food and beverages according to Dear Dad's service standards.
- Monitor table progression to ensure a seamless and well-paced dining experience.
- Present guest checks accurately and process payments efficiently.
Dining Room Operations
- Prepare dining areas before service and maintain cleanliness throughout each shift.
- Complete opening, running, and closing side work.
- Maintain polished table settings, service stations, and dining areas.
- Follow all sanitation, food safety, and responsible alcohol service guidelines.
- Assist with resetting tables and supporting overall dining room operations as needed.
Teamwork
- Work collaboratively with hosts, bartenders, server assistants, food runners, kitchen staff, and leadership.
- Communicate effectively to ensure timely and accurate service.
- Support fellow team members during periods of high volume.
- Participate in ongoing training, menu education, and service development.
QualificationsRequired
- Minimum of 2 years of serving experience in a full-service restaurant.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred
- Experience in an upscale casual or fine dining restaurant.
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, and classic cocktails.
- Experience with wine service and food pairing.
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems.
- Previous experience with elevated table-side service.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequently lift and carry trays weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Bend, reach, and move throughout the dining room efficiently.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $10.70 - $12.00 per hour
