Surgical Technician needed for our ambulatory surgery center for orthopaedic procedures. Typical schedule is 32-40 hours per week (full-time with benefits), usually 7:00am to 5:30pm, Monday - Thursday with occasional earlier starts.No weekends, no holidays and no call!
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs key functions during surgical procedures as assigned.
- Maintains availability for room turnover and set up of surgical cases.
- Maintains compliance with OSHA standards for healthcare facilities.
- Participate in educational opportunities for professional growth and development.
- Contributes to a positive work climate and the overall team effort of the center.
- Punctual attendance at department staff meetings, facility inservices and scheduled shifts.
- Personally adhere to the standards, rules, and procedures of the KOC Compliance and HIPAA Programs and contribute to ensuring the organizational commitment to compliance and HIPAA regulations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of accredited school of Surgical Technology
- Surgical Technology certification or eligibility to sit for exam
- 1 year experience preferred, previous orthopaedic experience helpful - open to new and recent graduates as well!
- Excellent communication skills
