We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Groundskeeper / Porter to join our team. Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining the appearance of our communitys grounds, ensuring high housekeeping standards in all common areas, and preparing vacant apartments for new residents.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
As a key member of our maintenance team, your daily responsibilities will include:
- Curb Appeal & Grounds Care: Perform daily sweeping and trash pick-up across parking lots and lawn areas to ensure a consistently litter-free, well-maintained community. Check landscaping daily and handle watering as required.
- Pool & Amenity Maintenance: Clean the swimming pool area daily. Test and maintain pool water chemical levels
- Common Area Upkeep: Maintain excellent housekeeping standards with daily cleaning of amenities (e.g., leasing office, hallways, breezeways, clubroom, gym, or pool area where applicable).
- Apartment Turnovers: Efficiently clear out remaining trash and debris from vacated units ("trash outs") as directed by the maintenance supervisor to help prepare them for the turn process.
- Team Support: Distribute notices and printed materials to residents as requested by management, and step in to assist the core maintenance staff whenever needed.
- Safety First: Maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety programs, proper chemical handling, and protective protocols.
(Note: Other duties may be assigned by management to meet the changing needs of the property.)
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience in groundskeeping, janitorial work, or property maintenance is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and handle physical tasks (lifting, bending, walking the property).
- Comfortable handling and mixing pool chemicals safely
- A positive attitude, strong eye for detail, and a team-player mindset.
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
