We're looking for an experienced mechanic to round out service department in our established bike and cross country ski shop in Green Bay.
About us: Pete's Garage is Northeast Wisconsin's largest bicycle and winter sports showroom. Our bike brands include Cannondale, Cervelo, Enve, Allied, Mosaic, Santa Cruz, and others. Cross country ski brands include Fischer and Salomon. We pride ourselves on having a friendly, collaborative work environment as well as excellent customer service and work to foster an active local community of cyclists and skiers. With our dedicated fit studio we skew toward higher end bikes, but we do sell nearly all price ranges and categoties.
Who we're looking for: Strong applicants will have experience in the industry as well as excellent mechanical and interpersonal skills. On the job training as well as ongoing education is encouraged and subsidized, but we're hoping to find applicants who already possess an understanding of electronic shifting systems, brake bleeds, and suspension rebuilds as well as basic bike repair. Knowledge of cross country skis and waxing would be a big plus. Above all else we value a good work ethic, accountability, and an ability to work well with others. Responsibilities would include service, service writing, and communicating with customers about their repairs.
