American Traveler is hiring an experienced Level III NICU RN for a night shift position requiring VA or compact license, 2 years of Level III NICU experience, and NRP certification.

Level III NICU setting within a Level II Trauma Center hospital
-
Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:4 depending on acuity
-
Night shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00-07:00
-
Weekend requirement of 4 shifts per 4-week schedule

No on-call requirements
-
Floating required within scope to Peds and WBN units as needed
-
Uses Epic EMR system
-
Navy blue scrubs required
-
Active RN license (VA or Compact) required

Current certifications: BLS and NRP required; RNC-NIC preferred
-
Minimum 2 years of Level III NICU experience required
-
Experience with conscious sedation, ventilator management, and UAC/UVC maintenance required
-
Proficiency with invasive and noninvasive ventilation, IV access and maintenance, chest tubes, thoracentesis, and surfactant administration required
-
Experience managing diagnoses including extreme prematurity, RDS, TTN, infection/sepsis, medical NEC, PPHN, pneumothorax, MAS, and respiratory conditions

Epic charting experience preferred

Provide comprehensive NICU nursing care including ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP), UAC/UVC maintenance, and venous and arterial blood sampling

Facility is a short-term acute care hospital with 431 staffed beds
