EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
The Licensed Psychologist Manager, Corrections plays a central role in directing psychological services and taking part in the clinical work carried out within the facility. This position oversees staff, programs, and evaluations that guide treatment and support inmates. As a Licensed Psychologist Manager, Corrections, you will perform the following duties:

Staff Supervision: Oversee the work of psychological services staff and ensure proper screening, evaluation, and treatment referral processes

Program Leadership: Guide the development and improvement of psychological services programs and counseling initiatives

Committee Leadership: Serve as chair for key mental health and review committees within the institution

Clinical Standards: Establish competencies, review testing interpretations, and prepare or evaluate diagnostic and treatment reports

Consultative Support: Provide guidance to specialized units and staff on mental health treatment and participate in staff meetings on inmate care

Expert Responsibilities: Testify as an expert witness when required and ensure compliance with American Correctional Association (ACA) service standards

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
