BOR Austin is a full-service water damage, mold remediation, and fire restoration company serving homeowners, property managers, and commercial clients across Central Texas. We're IICRC-certified, available 24/7 for emergency response, and bill insurance directly. We're growing fast and looking for a hunter who can build the referral pipeline that keeps our crews busy.
The Opportunity
This is a pure business development role. You will own relationships with insurance agents, adjusters, plumbers, property managers, realtors, HOAs, facility managers, and commercial property owners — the people who decide who gets the call when a pipe bursts, a roof leaks, or mold is found. Every relationship you build becomes a recurring revenue stream. Your book is yours.
We're not handing you a list and a script. We're handing you the keys to a market that does $XYZ million a year in water and mold work, and asking you to go capture your share.
What You'll Do
- Identify, prospect, and close referral partnerships with insurance agencies, property management companies, plumbing companies, and commercial accounts
- Build and maintain a CRM-tracked pipeline of B2B relationships across Central Texas
- Represent BOR Austin at networking events, industry meetings, and on-site visits
- Coordinate with our operations team to make sure every referred job is handled to the standard that keeps your referral sources sending more
- Hit and exceed monthly meeting and revenue targets
What You Bring
Proven B2B outside sales experience — restoration, roofing, construction, insurance, or real estate services strongly preferred
A self-starter mentality; you don't need a manager to set your calendar
Reliable transportation, valid TX driver's license, professional appearance
Comfort with CRM tools and basic pipeline reporting
The grit to build a book and the confidence that you'll out-earn most salaried reps
Compensation Structure
Recoverable draw of $2,000/month for your first 3 months while you build your pipeline — this is an advance against future commissions, not a salary, and gives you runway to ramp without starving
8% commission on collected revenue from every job sourced through your relationships, for the life of that account
Uncapped — your ceiling is your activity
Commissions paid on collected revenue; draw is recovered from commissions as they're earned.
Realistic Earnings
We'll be straight with you. The first few months are about building — that's what the draw is for. A focused producer typically has a meaningful book by month 6.
The average restoration job runs $8K–$25K. At 8% of collected revenue, a single $12K job pays you close to $1,000. A productive referral source sends multiple jobs a month. Build 8–10 active sources and the math gets serious fast — strong producers at maturity earn well into six figures. Year 1, while you ramp, realistically lands in the $60K–$90K range; year 2 and beyond is where uncapped starts to mean something.
Pay: $30,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
