Bring your kitchen craft to a fast-moving commissary team.
We’re a busy USDA grade commissary kitchen producing fresh, made-to-order grab-and-go breakfast tacos, breakfast sandwiches, lunch sandwiches, and wraps. We’re looking for an experienced kitchen team member who takes pride in clean knife work, consistent recipe execution, and a tight, well-organized line. If you’ve worked the morning rush, run prep, or built a service from a recipe book — you’ll feel right at home here.
Why you’ll like working here
- Real kitchen work — prep, line cooking, and execution, not just assembly
- Predictable schedule
- Established recipes and clear standards, so you can focus on doing the work well
- A team that values craft, cleanliness, and showing up for each other
- Room to grow as the kitchen grows
What you’ll do
- Execute breakfast and lunch builds — tacos, sandwiches, and wraps — to spec, with consistency every day
- Run the griddle, stove, and oven for hot components: bacon, sausage, eggs, sautéed vegetables, and more
- Prep meats, cheeses, and produce using slicers, knives, and standard kitchen tools — clean cuts, clean station
- Maintain food safety, temperature, and sanitation standards through every shift
- Keep cold and dry storage organized, rotated, and labeled (FIFO)
- Track par levels, flag low stock, and help keep the line stocked through service
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and confidently
Cleaning & sanitation
- Clean and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, equipment, and workstations
- Sweep, mop, and disinfect floors daily
- Take out trash and manage waste disposal
- Follow all food health, safety, and hygiene requirements
What we’re looking for
- 1+ year of professional kitchen experience — commissary, café, deli, line cook, or prep cook
- Confident kitchen skills and comfort with slicers and standard kitchen equipment (scales, etc)
- Solid grasp of food safety basics: temperatures, dating, storage, and cross-contamination
- A team player who keeps their station tight under volume
- Attention to detail in build accuracy and presentation
- Reliable, on time, and ready to work
Nice to have
- Food Handler’s Card or ServSafe certification
- Experience in a high-volume breakfast or grab-and-go program
- Familiarity with sandwich, taco, or wrap programs at scale
Schedule
- 5 days a week
- 4 weekday morning shifts (Monday–Friday)
- 1 weekend day per week
Pay & employment
- $18.00–$20.00 per hour, based on experience
- Full-time and Part-time options available
- People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply, as we are a second chance company
If you take pride in your work, move with purpose, and want to be part of a kitchen that values craft and consistency — we’d love to meet you.
