Join our dynamic team as a Fuel Oil Driver and take on a vital role in delivering essential fuel products to our valued customers. This energetic position offers the opportunity to operate a variety of clean, well maintained oil trucks, ensuring timely and safe delivery of fuel oil across designated routes. As a Fuel Oil Driver, you’ll be the face of our company on the road, combining expert driving skills with excellent customer service to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a range of commercial vehicles to deliver home heating oil and deisel fuel.
- Drive predefined routes efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations; plan routes for optimal delivery times.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety standards are met; report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs of deliveries, route records, and incident reports.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, route changes, or unforeseen issues on the road.
Experience
- Proven experience in truck driving or commercial driving roles, especially with delivery driver responsibilities in fuel.
- Familiarity with operating and delievering home heating oil.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for tanker or hazardous materials if applicable.
- Experience with route driving and load & unload procedures in diverse environments..
