Position Title: Cost Estimator

Position Duties: Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment, by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and historical data. Review and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications to determine project scope and requirements. Collaborate with engineers, architects, contractors, and vendors to clarify project requirements and resolve discrepancies. Track project costs and assist in budget planning to support cost control. Support vendor selection, bidding, and negotiation processes to obtain competitive pricing and cost-effective solutions. Maintain and update cost databases, including supplier, contractor, and subcontractor pricing, to support accurate estimating. Conduct cost analysis to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and project risks. Utilize estimation software and tools to prepare accurate cost projections. Evaluate and compare material and equipment pricing from vendors and suppliers to support procurement decisions. Assist in project planning, scheduling coordination, and cost monitoring throughout the project lifecycle.
Minimum requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related
· 6 months as Cost Estimator or related
· Must have knowledge and/or experience in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications, Microsoft Excel and estimating software, and construction cost estimation and budgeting.
