Responsibilities

- Maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitizing procedures to ensure a clean and safe working environment
- Assist in meal preparation and plating for service periods, supporting the culinary team in high-volume production tasks
- Follow recipe guidelines precisely while demonstrating strong knife skills and food handling techniques
- Support menu planning efforts by providing feedback on dish execution and ingredient quality
- Ensure proper food storage, labeling, and inventory management in compliance with health regulations
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation within a restaurant or food industry setting, especially in fine dining or high-volume environments
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and other culinary methods
- Excellent knife skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and effectively
- Experience with food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures
- Ability to follow recipes accurately while maintaining flexibility for special dietary needs or menu adjustments
- Prior experience in dietary departments or catering is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for learning new skills is essential
