Responsibilities
- Support physical therapists by preparing treatment areas and assisting with patient setup for therapy sessions
- Help patients with mobility and transfers using proper patient transfer methods to ensure safety and comfort
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and session details in accordance with clinic protocols
- Assist with manual handling tasks, including lifting, repositioning, and supporting patients during exercises or therapy activities
- Ensure all patient interactions uphold confidentiality standards and adhere to privacy regulations
- Support rehabilitation care by helping patients perform prescribed exercises and activities under supervision
- Manage intake procedures by collecting patient information, verifying medical history, and preparing necessary documentation for therapy sessions
Requirements
- Prior experience practicing in a physical therapy or healthcare role is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy
- Demonstrated ability to handle heavy lifting safely and effectively during patient transfers or equipment setup
- Experience working in hospital or outpatient settings, especially with acute care, inpatient, or post-acute care environments
- Excellent client communication skills to support positive patient interactions and teamwork
