The Opportunity We invite you to join the management team at Headlines Boutique, a North Conway institution since 1981. As the area’s original premium gift boutique and smoke shop, we take pride in our history, our quality products, and our exceptional service. We are currently looking for a dedicated Lead Keyholder to help oversee daily operations. This is a year-round, long-term position for a "Brand Ambassador" who is ready to lead by example, drive sales, and share in the store's financial success.
Compensation & Profit-Sharing We believe that when the store grows, the team should get paid. We offer a highly competitive compensation package designed to reward hustle and accuracy.
- Base Pay: $19.00 per hour.
- Sign-On Bonus: $500 total
- Monthly Growth Bonuses: Earn an effective rate of $21.00 to over $22.50 per hour. When the store beats its historical monthly sales targets, we share the profit. You can earn an additional $150 to $550 per month based on store growth.
- Note: To unlock these monthly bonuses, you must maintain 100% accuracy on all cash-outs and bank deposits. We reward growth, but we require precision.
Your Responsibilities
- Daily Leadership: Supervise a small team of two employees per shift, actively coaching them to upsell and ensuring our high standards for customer service are met.
- Financial Oversight: Handle daily cash-outs and prepare bank deposits with total accuracy.
- Store Security: Act as the primary keyholder, responsible for opening and closing the shop and ensuring the building is strictly secure.
- Team Guidance: Act as the point person on the floor, authorized to provide on-the-spot coaching and verbal warnings to keep the team focused.
- Operational Support: Assist with inventory, merchandising, and maintaining a positive, highly organized environment.
What We’re Looking For
- Availability: A full-time commitment of 37.5 to 40 hours per week. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday availability is required.
- Experience: At least two years of retail experience, preferably with supervisory and heavy cash-handling responsibilities.
- Reliability: You must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and live within a 15-to-45-minute commute of our North Conway store.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for upholding our 50-year-old, family-owned values.
