Title: Electrical Estimator – Substation / Transmission / Utility Projects
Responsibilities:
-
Review project drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
-
Perform material and labor take-offs for substation, transmission, BESS, GIS, and renewable energy projects
-
Develop detailed project cost estimates and proposal documentation
-
Evaluate labor, material, and equipment costs
-
Support management with bid strategy and cost analysis
-
Maintain and update cost databases and historical estimating data
-
Collaborate with preconstruction, purchasing, engineering, and field teams
-
Assist in evaluating self-perform vs subcontracting strategies
Qualifications:
-
Experience estimating Substation, HV/MV electrical, transmission, or utility-scale power projects
-
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
-
Experience with estimating software such as Accubid, EBM, or similar platforms
-
Strong analytical and organizational skills
-
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional project teams
-
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Construction Science or equivalent electrical trade experience with estimating background
