Job Overview:
The Receptionist is responsible for providing excellent customer service on the phone and in person. They assist clients with medication and food pickups, check patients in and out for appointments, process payments and ensure the tender reports for the day are accurate. The Receptionist work with the call center representatives and assist with call overflow and appointment scheduling.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Have a working knowledge of how to accurately fill out all necessary paperwork for upcoming appointments such as rabies forms, travel sheets, hospitalization forms, Euthanasia forms and estimates as needed.
- Issue correct rabies tags based on the municipality.
- Assist clients with medication and prescription food purchases.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the waiting room.
- Accurately process payments and ensure the daily totals are accurate.
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, take messages, transfer phone calls to appropriate areas in the clinic.
- Check clients in and out for appointments.

Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Possess basic knowledge of Veterinary care is a plus.
- Proficient with Avimark medical software is a plus, but not required
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
At least on year related experience preferred
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer
Prolonged periods of talking on the phone
