American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Neuro/Neurosurgical unit position at a leading academic medical center, requiring at least 2 years of Med/Surg or telemetry acute care experience with a neurology patient population.

Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts)

Work in a combined Brain Rescue Unit (BRU) and acute care neurological/neurosurgical inpatient unit
-
The BRU is a 12-bed Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center focused on stroke and neurology patients
-
The Zayed 12W unit is a 14-bed acute care neurological and neurosurgical inpatient unit
-
Adult patient population including stroke, intracranial hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage, spinal surgery, Parkinson's disease, MS, ALS, seizure disorders, and other brain or spinal conditions

Every other weekend required

Holiday coverage required as needed per unit

On-call availability required: 2 (12-hour) shifts per 6-week schedule

Epic EMR experience preferred

Orientation occurs on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month

Active RN license (Maryland or Compact) currently in hand

Current BLS certification required

Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg or telemetry acute care experience required

Prior experience with neurology patients required

Experience in a 500+ bed facility required

SSN and DOB required for consideration

1 professional reference required for consideration

Provide acute nursing care to adult neurological and neurosurgical patients, including stroke, hemorrhage, spinal, and neurodegenerative disease populations

Travel experience preferred but not required
