Sandy Springs Music is looking for an enthusiastic and dependable Woodwind Instructor to join our teaching team!
We are an established private music school serving the Sandy Springs and greater Atlanta community for over 20 years. We work with students of all ages and ability levels and are looking for a teacher who enjoys helping students develop their skills while keeping lessons positive, engaging, and rewarding.
What We're Looking For
Our ideal candidate is comfortable teaching:
The ability to teach multiple woodwind instruments is strongly preferred. Experience teaching additional instruments such as oboe, bassoon, piano, brass, or other instruments is always a plus!
About the Position
- Teach private, one-on-one music lessons at our Sandy Springs studio
- Work with beginner through advanced students depending on your experience
- Primarily school-age students, with some teen and adult students
- Help students develop technique, musicianship, confidence, and a love of music
- Prepare interested students for school band, auditions, performances, and recitals
- Opportunity to build a consistent weekly student schedule
- Administrative staff handles scheduling, billing, and communication so instructors can focus on teaching
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency on your primary instrument(s)
- Ability to teach flute, saxophone, and/or clarinet effectively
- Previous private lesson or classroom teaching experience preferred
- Music degree or current enrollment in a college music program preferred, but not required for highly qualified candidates
- Reliable, professional, patient, and comfortable working with children and teens
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to commit to a consistent weekly teaching schedule

Additional instruments are a major plus! If you teach piano, brass, strings, guitar, voice, or another instrument in addition to woodwinds, please include that information when applying.
Pay: $38.00 - $40.00 per hour
