Responsibilities
- Lead a variety of group fitness classes including Pilates, Yoga, and other specialized fitness routines with enthusiasm and clarity.
- Demonstrate correct exercise techniques, ensuring proper body mechanics and biomechanics to maximize benefits and prevent injuries.
- Design tailored program routines that cater to different skill levels, ages, and fitness objectives while maintaining high energy and motivation.
- Provide personalized coaching and feedback to help clients improve their form, technique, and overall performance.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times; administer first aid or CPR
- Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages participation, motivation, and community building among members.
- Maintain accurate class attendance records, equipment checks, and cleanliness standards to uphold a professional environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in leading group fitness classes with a focus on Pilates, Yoga, or similar disciplines within the fitness industry.
- Certification in Pilates instruction, Yoga instruction, or related group fitness certifications from recognized organizations.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, body mechanics, and exercise science principles.
- Valid CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) certification; first aid training is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate diverse client groups effectively.
- Physical fitness training experience including heavy lifting or sports coaching is advantageous.
- Ability to demonstrate exercises clearly through demonstration and practice while ensuring client safety at all times.
- Familiarity with gym equipment use, manual handling techniques, and program design for varied fitness levels.
- Passion for health promotion combined with excellent customer service skills to enhance client experience.
