American Traveler is hiring a travel LVN/LPN with previous travel experience and an active AK license for a 26- or 13-week long-term care assignment with flexible 4x12 or 3x12 shift options.

Long-term care facility with 40 staffed beds

LTC unit serving a general long-term care patient population

Patient ratio of 1:20

Shift options are either Days (0700–1930) or Nights (1900–0730); shift assignment is based on facility needs at time of start — travelers are not routinely rotated between day and night shifts

Schedule is 4x12 or 3x12 variable shifts at traveler's choice

Contract length is traveler's choice of 26 or 13 weeks

No on-call requirement

May be required to float between facilities within the state to meet staffing needs; refusal to float may result in termination of assignment

Charting is done using ECS

Free parking available on-site

Active Alaska LPN/LVN license required — no pending licenses accepted

Minimum 1 year of LTC experience required

Previous travel nursing experience required — first-time travelers will not be considered

Current BLS certification required

Alaska Food Worker Certification required (obtained during on-site orientation; one-time $10 fee applies)

Valid driver's license and proof of insurance required to operate the facility-arranged vehicle

Candidate's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility

License required if applicable

At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration

SSN and DOB required for consideration

Scrubs of any color are acceptable

A vehicle will be arranged by the facility for use during the assignment, available for use within a 30-mile radius of the facility; vehicle must be returned with a full tank of gas and cleaned

Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler

RTO is limited to no more than 2 weeks for a 26-week contract; travelers must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)

All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration — RTO will not be considered after an offer is made or a contract is signed
