The Opportunity
We’re recruiting an experienced Industrial Mechanical Estimator in Indianapolis, Indiana for our client, an industrial mechanical contractor supporting heavy industrial Design-Build and Plan-Spec construction projects. The work spans industrial mechanical construction including process and utility piping, piping and skid prefabrication, mechanical system upgrades, boiler and steam systems, tanks and vessels, equipment setting, and plant shutdown and turnaround projects.
This position is well suited for an experienced Mechanical Estimator, Construction Estimator, or Industrial Mechanical Estimator who understands how industrial mechanical projects are built and can turn complex bid documents into a complete, defensible estimate.
What You'll Do

- Determine appropriate crew sizes, equipment requirements, and potential prefabrication opportunities.
- Work with Purchasing to obtain material and equipment pricing and coordinate subcontractor bids.
- Evaluate subcontractor proposals and determine the appropriate pricing to carry in the estimate.
- Coordinate jobsite visits and attend onsite pre-bid meetings when required.
- Collaborate with Engineering on Design-Build estimates and with scheduling resources to develop project schedules for bid submissions.

- Ability to pass a full background screening and drug screening.
Experience with HVAC operations and/or equipment maintenance is preferred.
Why It's Worth It

The position also offers the opportunity to contribute to both traditional Plan-Spec pursuits and Design-Build estimates while working closely with the teams responsible for executing the projects being priced.
