Spray-Tek is an industry leader providing custom spray drying services to leading companies in the world's most quality-conscious industries. In face of new projects and acquisitions, we are searching for a Shipping & Receiving Lead to be located in our Bethlehem, PA facility.
Role:
This role is to provide first level leadership to the S&R department. The objective is to have a go-to person that facilitates, leads, and delegates tasks in order to improve the overall performance of the department. The expectations of this role are to be an extension of the management team. The Production Manager/Production Supervisor will work directly with you in order to foster cohesion and ensure all duties are carried out.
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm
Responsibilities:

- Facilitate department- lead and direct employees to ensure task management is prioritized and done efficiently
- Organization- delegate, maintain, and manage the current and future space.
- Looking ahead- work with planning to look ahead to see what runs production has in the pipeline, as well as what pick-ups or outbounds we have each day.
- Cycle counting- Inventory should be cycle counted minimum weekly to verify counts are accurate, what we have, and what we need to get rid of.
- Liaison for projects/CIP- take part, gather input, and provide a leadership role for the warehouse when projects regarding such are taking place.
- Streamline inbound/outbound- as mentioned above, will work to improve the awareness and timeliness of inbound outbounds by having documentation prepared and ready
- Facilitate vacation coverage/absences
- Performance/attendance issues- bring to management attention the performance of personnel if lacking or requires coaching
- Review forklift inspections and raise awareness of repairs
- Documentation- will provide and delegate provisions to ensure documentation is ready and not in the last minute
- Active on the floor- will remain a working leader. The above tasks are the leadership aspect of this role, whereas the other portion relies on your involvement directly with day-to-day activities.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Computer literate with strong math and reading skills
- Ability to multi-task and operate in a fast-paced environment

- Ability to learn quickly and highlight process improvements
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Bilingual is required
