Physical Elements:
- lift and carry up to 60 lbs. (brake drums, truck tires w/rims, truck batteries, clutch sets, plow blades, etc.)
- frequent standing, bending, squatting, kneeling, laying (mounting tires, repair of hydraulics, air supply, fuel
system, brake repair, standing long periods on concrete, etc.)
- occasional climbing with or without ladders, reaching and stepping (in and out of truck and equipment cabs
at 24" from the ground, engine compartments, dump bodies, etc.)
- occasional heights up to fifteen feet above the ground (on ladders, working atop of trucks, construction
equipment, etc.)
- frequent working overhead, arms above head (lying on creepers, floor, ground, working under equipment
and or hoist, etc.)
- occasional push, pull up to 60 lbs. (large hyd. jacks, mounted tires, truck tailgates, large truck stands, etc.)
- frequent use of hand tools, gripping, twisting, striking (air hammers, drills, grinders, cutting torch, screw
drivers, wrenches, etc.)
- frequent visual acuity (reading electrical diagrams, ability to distinguish color coded wires, etc.)
- occasional equipment use, ability to drive and/or operate trucks, tractors, graders, end loaders, mowers,
chain saws, etc.
- frequent reaching out and over (working inside engine compartments, equipment cabs and equipment
frames)
- ability to work in extreme cold and hot, humid conditions for long periods of time
