Production Manager - Ennis, TX
Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000 Base + Quarterly Bonus
Founded in 1966, this industry-leading manufacturer employs approximately 6,000 to 7,000 employees across North America, with an estimated 150 to 250 employees supporting operations at its Ennis, Texas manufacturing facility. We are a recognized leader in water management solutions, producing high-performance thermoplastic corrugated pipe, stormwater management products, septic systems, drainage infrastructure, and related engineered solutions used to protect and manage water resources.
The Ennis facility serves as a major manufacturing operation focused on plastic extrusion and production of corrugated polyethylene pipe and drainage products. Operating in a high-volume, continuous manufacturing environment, the plant supports regional and national demand through advanced production processes, raw material management, quality systems, and distribution operations. The site emphasizes operational excellence, lean manufacturing, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives designed to maximize throughput, product quality, and efficiency.
The organization serves customers across infrastructure, transportation, civil construction, residential development, commercial construction, agriculture, municipal utilities, land development, and environmental water management markets.
The Production Manager will lead plant floor operations, champion a Zero Injury Work Culture, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve safety, productivity, quality, and operational performance across a 24/7 manufacturing operation.
Key Responsibilities

Lead all day-to-day production activities across multiple manufacturing lines, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality operations while achieving production targets and customer commitments.

Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, TPM, 5S, waste reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives to improve throughput, reduce downtime, and eliminate inefficiencies.

Maintain a highly visible plant floor presence, spending approximately 60 to 70 percent of the time in production areas coaching employees, resolving issues, and reinforcing operational standards.

Develop and foster a Zero Injury Work Culture by promoting PPE compliance, safety accountability, hazard identification, and proactive risk mitigation throughout the facility.

Manage production scheduling, tooling changeovers, raw material inventory, resin management, housekeeping standards, equipment troubleshooting, and operational metrics to ensure consistent plant performance.
Required and Preferred Qualifications

Minimum 3+ years of Production Manager, Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Manager, or Operations leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.

Strong experience leading teams in plastics extrusion, injection molding, continuous process manufacturing, packaging, building products, or similar industrial production environments.

Proven track record implementing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, Kaizen, 5S, waste analysis, and continuous improvement programs that drive measurable operational results.

Hands-on leadership style with a willingness to spend significant time on the production floor coaching personnel, solving problems, and driving accountability.

Nice to have: Experience managing 24/7 operations, corrugated pipe manufacturing, resin-based production processes, inventory management, tooling changeovers, or large-scale building products manufacturing.
